subdirectory, .htaccess, and Gallery (1 post)

Greetings all! I have MU directory mode running on our internal web server. I would prefer to use subdomain, but because our department doesn't run its own DNS, I'm having hell trying to do subdomain and have settled with subdirectory for the time being.

My question is that I have created a physical folder, gallery, to house the Gallery program. Everything works as it should, until I enable Gallery URL rewrite on gallery which creates links like http://domain.tld/v/my-pics-here which doesn't work. Without Gallery URL rewrite, it works fine. What happens is that MU attempts to take the "v" in the address and thinks I want a new blog. I've checked the htaccess file and it has the Gallery rewrite stuff first and then WordPress. How do I tell WPMU that the "v" is actually a virtual subdirectory and to excuse it from wp-signup lookup? Thanks!

    My server configuration is:

    • Windows 2003 Enterprise Server
    • Apache 2.2
    • PHP 5
    • Active Directory DNS set on the domain controller
