I'm all for having the 'Comment author must have a previously approved comment' option being defaulted to *on* but could we also have the 'E-mail me whenever: * A comment is held for moderation' defaulted to *on* too (as a new user is never going to pick up on that)
Also, do you think we could build into all templates a brief comment next to the comment form to the effect of 'The first time you comment on this blog you're comment will need to be approved, so please don't panic!'
And as the 'previously approved comment' option is defaulted to on, do we really need to have the 'An administrator must approve the comment (regardless of any matches below)' on as well?
Just thinking about how we can make this as simple as possible for newbies.
