Vanishing Icons when Writing Post When "Add User" Plugin Enabled (2 posts)

Here's a situation that is cooking my noodle. dsader (bless him), made a great plugin that allows users to automatically add themselves to a community blog (http://mu.wordpress.org/forums/topic.php?id=5865&page&replies=17#post-35213).

What's happening is that for different users, the formatting icons associated with Visual and Code text box when Writing a Post (or Page) vanish (when using the visual editor). See this image example: http://www.xandria.ca/yjtutorials/writepage07b.gif

If these people remove the visual editor option from their blog and initiate a Post in one of these communities, the icons return (although one is in Code Mode, naturally).

Browser software and version does not seem to make a difference.

Originally I had removed the plugin, re-enabled it, and it seemed to act as a cure but no more.

Near as I can figure, the issue is that for some people, the Visual editor is disabling the appearance of the formatting icons when trying to post to a community blog that has the Add User plugin enabled.

This makes no sense. Especially now that if I remove the Add User Plugin, it no longer makes a difference.

Thoughts, help? Please and thank you.

Sorry to bump this one, but this is really getting in the way of new users figuring out the system.

Disabling the Add User plugin doesn't seem to do anything. So the problem must be elsewhere.

    Help? Anyone?
