    There is no plugin tab
    * Does the information in wp_blogs, wp_users and wp_site match your blog, user and site?
    * Mention the version number, SVN check-in number or the date you downloaded the snapshot.

Go to Site Admin/Options and scroll to the bottom and check the plugins box under "Menus (Enable or disable WP Backend Menus)"

    Thanks a lot Steve !

I guess they should put a comment about it in the ReadMe file so people can know about it easily.

    Thank you.
    Any insight to this message:
"Couldn’t open plugins directory or there are no plugins available."
I thought there were core Plugins.

Click "Site Admin" tab, click "Options" sub-tab which shows up below the main tabs after you click "Site Admin".

    Scroll to bottom.

Check the box to enable the "Plugins" menu.

Save your changes by clicking the "Update Options" button at the bottom.

septemberq , i guess there are no plugins in the new mu ..

on my admin panel, the plugin tab is showing now.. but when i press it i see the same message :
"Couldn’t open plugins directory or there are no plugins available."

So it seems that wpmu comes without any plugins..
