Is there anyway i can get hold of a plugin that only works for the admin account blog, as I want to show the latest signups of blogs and the most active blogs. Basically a blog statistics manager

You could try Firestats at firestats.cc. It now supports WPMU and is very easy to install.
It mainly just shows the popular posts.
I want a plugin that will allow me to show the most recent blog signups and the most active blogs.
Please define you you consider most active blogs. Traffic? Posts? How do you want to judge this? (May want to search as it's been discussed a coupelk of times previously.)
Most recent signups code was in the home.php file of the home theme in the zipped download I believe.
"that only works for the admin account blog, as I want to show the latest signups of blogs "
You mean when you go into Site Admin -> blogs and sort the list by reverse ID? That'll show the most recent signups.
No i want to display the latest blog signups and the most active blogs on the main blog index.
See a couple of posts up.
wont google analytics work ?
wont google analytics work
It doesn't see the subdomains and can't track signups.
theapparatus, you can set filters in your analytics account to do that.
"No i want to display the latest blog signups'
Use the list-all plugin from WPMU dev, org and set it to show the last five or ten.
o, i thought that plugin would be useful when i looked at it.
Thanks andrea_r
Showing the most active blogs is also an internal functions, but I can't find it today. :D My brain has the dumb. It shows the ten blogs with the most posts. (not my brain, the code I'm looking for)
Note that what Andrea says is active as in most posts within a blog. I've got to admit that I would rather use page views or average views per visitor.
Anyone can throw up a thousand pages of copy and paste into a blog.
@andrea_r:
get_most_active_blogs(), in wpmu-functions.php
Yeah, any user importing content will throw that right off. :)
And yep dgilmour, that's the one. Need more caffiene. :D
