WordPress MU

I am looking to freelance a programmer with the appropriate skills. I want to modify MU in such a way as to make a social network site. See and example of what I have in mind here:

Unfortunately, the programmer who did the site at the link is not available and I am on a timeline.

your best bet is to see if he'll sell/lease/release the plugins and mod them yourself.

I am not there skill-wise and need this project done on a timeline.

I am willing to pay a programmer.

Then best bet would be to use the Contact Me link on the page that you link to and see if Andy is available or willing to licence out the code. I think Demon up there makes that suggestion.

Making a specific list as to what your requirements are would be a plus. Just saying you want the exact same site as xyz.tld isn't going to go far with consultants as they need to provide you with a quote and judge how much time it's going to take them. Contact information would also be a plus.

You may also run into legal issues if you dupe a site.

How tight is the timeline and how much are you willing to pay? This is a project that does take some time to implement and will be expensive.

it looks like the coder here did it all with plugins rather than chipping away at core files. maybe he'll release them for the right price. he also makes a couple of suggestions concerning his process. check out wpmudev and inscub like theapparatus said, there are some really talented people lurking here in the forums. you might be able to hire luna or andrew as theyre both pretty solid IMHO.
