I was looking for a solution to remove the "import" and "export" menu items from the "manage" menu.

These both for blog users.

I think there is no legal way to do it ?

Are thsi strange questions or does no-one needed it before it has it been asked before ?

If it was asked before.. I was not able to find it using the search.

edit the menu, comment them out.

Actually in this case, those selections are generated on the fly.

Take a look at wp-admin/import/ for the importers.

To answer your question though, most of us would have opened up the code and looked to see where this code is generated. Easiest thing to do is look at the url bar in your browser and poke through the php files in question instead of waiting 6 days for an answer.
