If they are add-on widget,s just use the plugin manager plugin and enable the widgets you want for whatever users.

Posted 16 years ago #Thanks. I was really asking about widgets in the side bar. It seems that if you add a widget to a side bar in one blog, all the others get it too...

Not supposed to do that. if you're in the widget area in one blog, and you drag and drop and arrange things how you want, it's supposed to show up like that for just that blog.

If two blogs are using the same theme, the sidebars will be the same until one user pulls in some widgets.

What I’m doing is logging in toe the wp-admin for one of the sites, setting the widgets under “Presentation”, going to “Site Admin/Blogs”, selecting the ‘back end’ of another blog and I see the same widgets I just set in the previous one…
Does that make sense?
Does it make a difference if the blog’s paths look like this:
Briansblog/
Briansblog/blog2
Briansblog/blog3 -
