Thanks to the wild card domain redirection support on Bluehost, I can easily set a domain (http://www.domain2.com ) redirect to one blog on my wpmu (http://www.domain1.com/blog1) now, the subdirectories and files under this blog won't be a problem anymore. e.g, you can access http://www.domain2.com/about/, it will redirect to http://www.domain1.com/blog1/about/

Okay, now it seems there is only one step away from the real domain mapping, replace the http://www.domain1.com/blog1 with http://www.domain2.com in the url address of the browser, do not let it change to http://www.domain1.com/blog1 after access it. I assume it could be done in htaccess file, but I tried some times and failed, am I wrong?

Is there anybody can give me some suggestions? or clue? thanks a lot!

Have you check out this thread italways? It has some .htaccess code and some great ideas on getting the domain mapping working.

Hi, Trent, thanks for your reminding. I did search through the forum and tried some solutions, including those in the thread you mentioned, but unfortunately, I still could not make it work.

Now I have another question, is it feasible that domain mapping works in subdirectory wpmu installation? since I saw most solutions are for subdomain wpmu installation. Is there anyone who knows more about this? thanks a lot!
