    hello,
i am currently tracking only the main site of http://blogono.com with google analytics

so i wanted to ask ...

what is the easierst way of embeding the analytics-code without modifying every single theme, so that it is displayed on every wpmu-blog.

    is it possible?

Make it easy with this mu-plugin:
    http://themajesty.asslema.net/wordpress-mu/wordpress-mu-google-analytics/

Allow site admin to track site wide stats.
Allow each blog owner to track his/her blog only.

All you have to do is to post you urchin id.

@Iron - have you used this plugin yourself? I can't understand French, but I was wondering how the blog owners can view their own stats?

Unfortunately each user who wants to track their stats will also need an analytics account :/ http://tinyurl.com/ysxsgm

It's a nice solution to allow both a side admin and a user account though.

    Yes, I'm using it.

Each blog owner will need a GA account and connect to google.com/analytics to view stats.

    That's Google analytics!

The thing this plugin do is to put 2 analytics codes on the same page !
one for you, one for the blog owner.
    :

    Configuration:

    1. Go to the admin panel.
    2. In: Site Admin > Google Analytics, put your account for the entire site.
    3. Tell your members that they can go to: Option> Analytics to configure their accounts

    hi,

I'm confused. Does this one http://boakes.org/analytics work for WPMU to track sitewide and individual blogs also? Or should I use the one Iron suggested at http://themajesty.asslema.net/wordpress-mu/wordpress-mu-google-analytics/ for tracking both main site and per blog? tq

The French site is back up. It works great!. Allows your users to track their blog only and allows the Site Admin to track Site Wide.
