WordPress MU

Hi

I've installed WP mu and created my firts blog. To test the site I have also subcribed myself as a new blogger (new user name and email account) I've not yet recieved email confirmation for my new user. Is there something more I should do to enable registration emails to be sent to new accounts.
My instal is XAMPP on windows xp

Emails sent from local installs don't work if you don't have a mailing server, and most mail servers block email from dynamic IPs for spam reasons. Put wpmu on a real server if you want the emails to send.
