Whenever a new user signs up they get few blogroll links etc. How to get rid of those links etc. ?

You may want to search the forums for "default links" or "default blogroll" as this has been discussed at great length a couple of times.

It's stored in wp_x_options as blogdescription and blogname.

Oh, you mean to say in database. But I want to change so that whenever a new user signups they get the tagline specified by me as default instead of "Just Another blog" which is coming right now. ? How do i make my tagline default for new registrations ?
