flash upload + https = IO Error (5 posts)

    Has anyone find a solution? In http flash upload works OK, but in https, gets IO Error....

    It would be helpful if you provided some details. The version of mu you;re running, the specific error you;re receiving, etc. A quick google shows a number of discussions and solutions but they depend on the specific error you're receiving.

    I use camino on a mac.

    As I discovered this is a known problem of FLASH itself with some browsers over https protocol

    (see for example

    I understand that this is not really a WP problem , nevertheless it would be very nice if WP team could do smth about it..

    I nearly can not use uploads... To upload a hundred files one by on? No..

    If there is a (simple) solution - i.e. by manually editing a php file, it would be miracle!

    Or, alternatively, I can use ftp upload, but how can I tell the WP that those files are the attachments to that particular post? (to use them, for example, in a gallery) ?

    Thanks for this post; I'm having the same issue with https, flash and the file uploader. You saved me a lot of frustrating code delving.

    As a bulk upload solution, you could try using NextGEN gallery, which supports ZIP file uploads.
