Asking the people on this site to join is pretty pointless. Other than spying on your features, what would we join for ? Most of us are Site Admins for our own sites. You have to target people in your country or whatever topic your MU is based on.
Google Adwords is good for that. It works much better for foreign languages than for English language sites, so use it. Set it up at like 0.20-0.25 per click.
Another promotion technique I use is to leverage the user base of another site you may own by sending out emails. But not in a spammy way. I have about 20,000 subscribers to another site that receive monthly emails. I'll tack on info about the MU site at the bottom when this month's emails are ready.
And next time don't start a 100 threads for one topic, please thanks.
