I don't want users to be able to use the default theme of the site (it's heavily customised for the main/admin site).

Can I set a different default page for newly created blogs, and disallow them from ever using the theme I use as admin?

    How can I do this?

    Regards!

to disallow usage of your main theme, just disallow other sites to use it, go to site admin => themes and check: disallow next to your theme.

    It may be called "no".

Did you look at Site Admin -> Themes?

Yeah... I tried with "no" in themes admin, for wordpress mu default and wordpress mu home, but both are still available in theme-selection for normal users.

You sure you're logged in as a normal user and that you haven't enabled the default and home themes for that user? You could always just delete the default and home themes if you don't use them.

And I think it shows if that theme is currently selected already (like the DEFAULT usually is) even if it is not able to be chosen.
