Depends. If you;re planning on doing Post by Email, I'd leave it off as you;re going to have to set up email boxes for some users.
If not, I would do the catch all. You wouldn't believe how many people think that if a blog exists at username.mydomain.tld, then username@mydomain.tld also exists. :)
