Hi all,
I'm a long standing fan of WordPress and use it for all my websites and blogs. I only recently started using WordPress MU on one of my websites. I was just wondering if it's possible to download the homepage template of WordPress.com?
I see that the homepage template for Edublogs.org is available in the premium section but that template is overkill for me. Would love to know if there's a way to download WordPress.com's template or any other template made specifically for WordPress MU
Thanks in advance :)
no, the wp.com template is not available.
Most people build their own.
How is the edublog's template overkill? Has almost all the same features.

Home themes usually rely on a bunch of plugins to get them running. You won't find much releases of them. It's best to create your own and Wordpress.com isn't hard to duplicate. You should try.
What you're looking at on the wp.com site is mostly their own coding that hasn't been released.
If you're looking for a specific feature like list of popular blogs or featured posts, you may want to search the forums for it as chances are it's already been discussed a number of times.
There's no out of box solution to do all that.

Thanks everyone for your reply. Looks like I'll have to do it myself. I'm not much of a coding guy but I do know my way around PHP & CSS. Let's see what I can get done :)
Anyone know of a tutorial for designing WPMU home pages? :D
Regards,
Sagar

It all depends on what you want on your home site. In other words, please sit down and make yourself a list. Then search the forums.
