    Hi All

I'm brandnew here. : D I do not know if this has been suggested before but I could not find if it was.

I would like my users to be able to add a banner or a logo instead of a Blog Title.

    I did something like this.

    Demo Settings: http://img508.imageshack.us/my.php?image=suggestionxl3.jpg

    Demo Layout: http://img523.imageshack.us/my.php?image=suggestion2pq3.jpg

I have to say this is just visual. I am so new to WPMU I can't begin to think of implementing this. I just tweak the options-general.php file to create the field.

Obviously some means of checking the file types (as some of the types do create security issues) must be implemented as well as the size. WPMU admin must be in control of max picture sizes.

I hope I didn't brake any of the forum rules or suggest something which already suggested.

    Thank you.

This is already built in to the system. It's called Custom Header API.

All you need to do is find a theme that already has the right code added to thew theme's functions.php file, or add it to an existing theme.

Well they use it over at wordpress.COM... and I did say it was built in.

It just adds the header URL to an option field already in the db.

I am sorry but I didn't understand how to install this API. I've downloaded one of the themes from the link you provided ans find the function.php file inside but when I go to the admin panel I can't see an option to change header?

The api link you provided does not provide a plugin. I am sorry I am totally lost.

    Thank you.

No, the API is not a plugin.

If you downloaded a theme with a custom header, the option will be under the Design menu, called Custom Header Image.

Then you can read the code of that theme to see how they did it.

    Thank for reply again.

I downloaded Orange Techno from the link you provided and it has got Custom Image Header functions but they do not work. : ) Then I downloaded Aapna and saw what you mean. It was my mistake to asume it will work with the first theme I downloaded.

    Thanks for your help again.
