I can create blogs via the backend and have them show up and work but when I go through the signup process via wp-signup.php it
-doesn't send the email to the user
    -the blog isn't created
    -the user account isn't created
-the site get's a 404 error when trying to access it

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When someone signups up using /wp-signup.php, once they fill in their details, they're supposed to get sent an activation email.

It isn't until they click that activation link in the email that the blog and user account are created.

So if they never receive the activation email, then the blog and user account won't exist.

Are you able to check you mail log on the web server to see if the email is actually sent?

    Are you using WPMU 2.6.2?

Have you completed all of the steps in the readme file?

Have you read the debugging page linked to from the readme file?

What's in your server's mail and mail error logs? (The debugging page points you in that direction)

How about the rest of the information from the debugging page?

well, it seems as though some activation emails are being sent while others are not being sent.

The ones that aren't being sent don't appear in the blog/user list but the name can no longer be choosen.

    I'm using version 2.6.2
    http://www.mysoapbox.com is the link.

I'll look into debugging to see if there's anything there.

Thanks for the help and prompt replies.
