I work for a high end video production/post house and we are creating a new site that will be completely in flash, but we want to also incorporate a blog into the flash site. I found this link

    http://motionandcolor.com/wrapper/

which allows me to incorporate script into flash for a WP Blog feature. What we want to utilize is the ability to make a smooth animated transition into the blog with out a redirection to the blog. This is tricky, and I wondered if anyone had any thoughts or ideas, or if you think we are being completely stupid in trying something like this out?

    Let me know,

No one has any thoughts or ideas on how to incorporate the two?

First I've seen of this thread.

Actually I believe you're at the wrong site. If you're trying to incorporate a WordPress blog, you need to be over at:

    http://wordpress.org/support

These forums are for WordPress Multiuser, the blog hosting software that allows you to setup and run a complete site like wordpress.com

I work for a high end video production/post house

That may not have gone over well either. Most folks here do this for a living either as consultants or running their own hosting sites. Stating that you're doing this as a job (ie getting paid yourself) without offering any sort of payment for their time doesn't normally go over well.

Would you spend a couple of hours with someone if you knew you weren't getting anything back? I'd leave off that first bit and just ask the question when you got over to the other site. Your username and password will work there as well.

Me personal? Not a clue as I don't work that much with flash. I tried merging php-nuke into a flash site. Didn't go over well and the files were huge.

And... Many web designers frown upon completely flash sites... :)
Like tdjcbe said, you'll probably have to find someone who knows of this stuff and pay them, because I am guessing this is something that although doable will be complex and time consuming.

I would say that Flash website is not a good idea at all...

My problem with flash is when it;s used as a header image and it reloads on every single page load. A lot of cut and paste webhosting templates have them. Royal pain....
