I'm using 2.6.5 and Buddypress and am trying to figure out how to prevent new signups from becoming subscribers to the root blog when creating their own blog.
Currently, new signups receive an email notice of a new user/password for the root blog, and then receive notice of their new blog (requiring activation), which when activated then leads to login details for the new blog.
Unless I'm missing something, this can be very confusing. Since I plan to have sitewide posts pulled to the root blog with no unique posts required, I'd like to prevent the new user from becoming a subscriber to the root blog.
Hope this makes sense and someone can suggest a workaround.
