Viewing the HTML source of your index page, it says:
<meta name="generator" content="WordPress 2.5.1" />
Huh.
2.5.1 was WPMU version 1.5.1. 2.6 is when the version numbers lined up, and you should see the new backend. (not the really new 2.7 backend, the one with the white, light blue and orange).
crap. Should I upgrade to latest version or wait a few weeks to WPMu 2.7?
Since it's this close, I'd wait a bit longer. no point in confusing the users with a new admin, then confusing them again in a month or less with another new admin.
Yes, there are probably security issues. Keep an eye on the system, & be aware of those previous issues. Lock down new signups if you really want.
At least that's what I'm doing.
I have a similar problem. Can't figure out my version #. I tried following your advice, andrea, but there's no code in my index.php with the version #. Any other ideas?
Look for the file called version.php.
Thanks Andrea! Found the file in the wp-includes folders. (2.2 - I need to upgrade.)
