hi i have just been modifying some of my pages and noticed that all the pages created under parents are just showing up blank, i have looked at the htaccess.dist file and couldnt see anything wrong, i can post this if needed though, i also changed the permalink stucture to see if that fixes it (change to default and then change back again) im lost as to why this is happening, i can change the pages to have no parent and they will display fine
    please help

"i have looked at the htaccess.dist file and couldn't see anything wrong"

Because that's a file use on installation to build the .htaccess file.

most likely you have a plugin of some sort causing a conflict. I'd also go ask on the buddypress forums and see if anyone there has the same issue.

Did you check your error logs? Also, your site runs extremely slow.

The About page: 892,320 bytes in size, 43 javascripts, 72 images, 23 CSS files, and 43 external script calls.

    Ouch

I agree with Andrea though. It's probably a plugin not loading correctly. Try turning them all off to see if it then helps.

hey thanks for the advice you guys, i am quite shocked about the page taking so long, after reading that it might be the plugins i deactivated only a few that i thought may be conflicting, so now i can see them and im just figuring out which one it is,

i dont quite understand exactly what is making the pages so big, any ideas or is it just that i have a shitload of plugins

Yup, plugins often cause pages to load slowly...

Consider using caching things - this helps :)
