    You would go to http://trac.mu.wordpress.org/browser/trunk and at the bottom of the page is a link to download a zip archive.

    As far as upgrading from the trunk to the actual 2.7 release...how does that work? Will it just be certain folders to re-upload and overwrite?

    That zip contains all of the files. You may want to scan the sticky at the top of the forum for a quick tutorial on how to run svn that will only update the updated files.
