WordPress MU

I see this defined in wpmu code and hear about it every so often. What the heck is 'sunrise'?

It's a file to put code in that you want to run before everything else.

For example, the domain mapping plugin makes use of it.

So it's not an actual product. It's kinda like if it exists it gets run. Similar to the way many packages look for 'custom.css'.

Google didn't know anything about this. What?! This must be some way cool, super secret thing that a select few know about and keep to themselves.
