I've searched the forums (forgive me if I missed the correct thread) but I have yet to find a plugin for WPMU that scans all blogs and lists the posts with the most comments.

Has anything like this been developed yet? There were a few threads that were 1-2 years old, but I couldn't find any recent developments...

    Hi Benny,

I think this might be what you are looking for.

Well not quite...I'm looking for something that actually lists the posts across all blogs with the most comments.

For example, if Blog A has a post with 25 comments, and Blog B has a post with 50 comments, I'd like the Blog B post to show up first on the list. I'd like to use it in conjunction with the recent posts plugin and the list all plugin on the front page.

From what I can tell, the link you gave would only pull stories from the main blog...

    Thanks though :)

well, if you aggregated all posts into one, which is really easy, the plugin would be what you were looking for...

i think in this case get the recent post using RSS feed. That will be the best solution. Even if u have forum or buddypress then you also can get the recent updates from there.

I now have the same question, and am sadly confused about how you would aggregate all the posts into one to have the Most Commented Plugin work... Any help would be much appreciated!
