Does anyone have any recommendations for a commercial hosting service that will support Mu and that has good performance. There will only be 10 blogs on this installation. I'm lloking for a good balance between price and performance.

No offense intended but have you searched the forums for the previous threads on this topic? There's at least a dozen threads already with recommendations. Most of us suggest at the very least a VPS if not more. Really depends on how much traffic you expect those 10 blogs will produce.
Just adding yet another recommendation thread will just bring in the spammers yet again with the affiliate links.
