mrarrowSorry, I've read the existing forum messages and the official Codex upgrade instructions which I find unnecessarily confusing for some reason. So can I just confirm that the upgrade from 2.6.3 should be performed as follows (should I upgrade to 2.6.5 first?:
1) Replace the wp-admin and wp-includes directories (but as always, don't replace the wp-content directory)
2) Replace all Wordpress files at the root www directory (other then wp-config.php and .htaccess)
3) Replace index.php and blogs.php files in the wp-content directory
4) Add the following code into the wp-config.php file after $base = '/';:
define('DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE', 'yourdomain.tld');
define('PATH_CURRENT_SITE', '/');
define('BLOGID_CURRENT_SITE', '1');
5 Still in wp-config.php file, after define('SECURE_AUTH_SAULT' ... add:
define('NONCE_KEY', '');
define('AUTH_SALT', '');
6) Complete the secret salt keys between the '' in the lines above (from http://api.wordpress.org/secret-key/1.1/)
7) Run sitewide blog upgrades
Is this right?
