Hi...
We've got MU running on a FreeBSD box with an Opteron 165 and 1G of memory.
Being that each blog requires several tables to do its thing, what's the maximum number of blogs that could be supported on this setup?
Is there a hack available that will get MU to use a single set of tables with the site_id as the key that distinguishes each row?
Thanks.

1. Virtually unlimited?
2. It's not a hack, but it's close enough--a different multi-user WordPress software called Lyceum.
MySQL has a upper limit of something like 4GBs on a stardard install but there are workarounds on that. I don't know how many sites you have and how active they are but 1 gig of memory for a box doing any database oload is rather low. I would try to optimize the MySQL as much as you could.
