Hi to u all I've just finished to install last version in a subfolder:

    /sito/wpmu/wordpress-mu

when I try to login from

    http://www.mydomain.com/sito/wpmu/wordpress-mu/wp-login.php

after login I'm redirected to my homepage http://www.mydomain.com.

Can you help me solve this? (installation and db config was right)

    Thanx a lot

I've tried to install without subdomain blog1.domain.com but same problem, when I try to login or to open index page I'm redirected to my website homepage.

    Any idea?

    thanks!

...still, me...it's getting a monologue! I've found someone having same problem before, and he was replied that in his DNS there was something wrong redirecting http://domain.com to http://www.domain.com (with www).

I've checked code of login page and see it points to http://domain.com/ and so on.

Why is that without www? What should I ask to my hosting provider?

thanks a lot, please help me!

it seems wpmu is hardcoded to remove the www.
don't start discussing that, as its a dead end discussion, if you don't believe me, search here.

after login I'm redirected to my homepage http://www.mydomain.com.

    is the login successful?

Silly question but why did you install it two levels down?

We seem to be getting a lot of posts with people obviously trying to cram lots of different sites onto their one single domain and I suspect that unless you've got full control of your DNS settings AND complete access to your apache configuration files so you can set up multiple sites with different ServerName and Directory directives all you are going to do is get problems.

... and when you run the install, don't put www in your domain name.

    (Agreeing fully with Steve.)
