Is there a simple way to make the @ in $blog_prefix = "@"; an image. When I put the code for an image there the whole site becomes a blank page

Blank page means an error in your syntax.

Im just adding <img src=etc.> between the '' does it have to be done with php rather than html?

But you're adding it in the middle of a php expression, so you have to escape the quotes.

Posted 15 years ago #The plugin causes my admin bar to disappear, along with my footer.
Are there any earlier sitewide recent post plugins that do not do this?
I wear to God, this must be the hardest thing in the universe to accomplish, because I've only been trying to for five friggin' years to reliably show member blogs on the front page.

I have the plugin displaying properly on one site, but not on my front page, where the plugin will not display the number of blogs being called (just five instead of 7), the admin bar doesn't appear, and neither does the footer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This tells me that it hits an error right after the 5th one and stops loading the rest of the page.
Did you check your logs?
Have you double-checked both templates to make sure the code is in there exactly the same on both? (or is it a widget?) -
Posted 15 years ago #Not a widget. I hand coded it onto the theme's sidebar.php.
Also, I just now went into the code and changed it to render just three posts instead of seven. It rendered three posts, with the same missing admin bar and footer. So the error is not being caused by the posts themselves.

And they're all errors in themes, three of them.
"Call to undefined function the_keywords() "
and
"Call to undefined function tla_ads()"which means you've got function calls in the themes and (likely) the required plugin is not turned on. The shoudl have an if_function_exisits in front of them so they don't barf if the plugin is off.

Posted 15 years ago #Yeah, I noticed that too. I'm goingto have somework ahead ofme when I get home. I deleted a bunch of plugins to resolve serverload issues, but I didn't check on these blogs using older themes.

Posted 15 years ago #A dumb n00b question: Does is not make sense that when the "ahp recent posts" plug-in tries to call the most recent post from these errored-out blogs, THEN it breaks?
