assign user role based on choice at sign-up (1 post)

    Hi!

    Is there a way to assign a user role during registration? I'm hoping for a required checkbox that, if ticked, creates the user as a contributor, if unchecked creates the user as a subscriber

    I'm only allowing user registrations, not blog creations, so all users will be viewing/ posting to the main blog.

    Any help is much appreciated thanks!
