Am I to understand that the Braches update 2.7 will allow you to activate and deactivate plugins? If that is the case, where is that done because I just updated the branches 2.7 and Plugins still doesn't take you to a place to activate plugins. Anyone see this?

Activating & deactivating plugins has always been there.

Perhaps you mean *installing* plugins? That's just been rolled into trunk.

The update makes it so all plugins can be activated sitewide through the plugins folder, but Andy has mentioned that until it gets rolled out into an actual WPMU release, it doesn't work with buddypress. If you read the following ticket:

    http://trac.mu.wordpress.org/ticket/909

You will notice that you can put that Site Wide Only: true into plugins that are normally in your mu-plugins folder and have them go sitewide through the normal plugins directory.

It is still infant and will not be rolled out for awhile if it stays, but it is an interesting addition to say the least.
