    Hi everyone,

I'm basically looking for a way to use my header from my main blog sitewide. I've tried different ways: iframe, the insert header plugin, but I can't seem to figure out how to get my main blog header to display sitewide and make the header make it's calls to from the original theme.

Is there an easy way to accompish this?

Thanks beforehand for any help. Very much appreciated!

what exactly do you mean bu header? are all blogs using the same theme? same header size in all themes? otherwise I am unsure how you want to achieve this....

maybe you are talking about an admin bar across all blogs or wouldn't that be enough for what you want?

Thanks for the reply. What I mean is that the header in my main blog which contains a sitewide search, a javascript menu (with a sidebar, where I've placed sitewide tags, categories, posts etc) and I would like that header to appear across all sites - and that it uses the same css as from the main blog, and calls back to the main blog for the results for the sitewide search.

And no, all the blogs are not using the same theme - and I don't mean that this sitewide header would REPLACE the themes header, just sit on top of it. Just like the admin bar, but with all the functions (and theme) like in my main header blog.

Maybe it's impossible. I thought that you might be able to insert this on top through an iframe or some wrapper script, but I'm quite the novice when it comes to php programming.

I would LOVE to hear if anyone had any suggestions on how to accompish it.

    Thanks so much!

Hmm, I've checked it out and it seems that what I want in my header is way too complicated to use the mu admin bar. The problem is that I have a slidebar javascript container (containing widgets), search form and pages. These are all relative to the theme itself. I'm basing the design on hemingwayex http://nalinmakar.com/hemingwayex_demo/ and what I would love to do is make everything included in the header, sitewide.

Seems like it takes a humongous amount of programming to make it work. But I was thinking I could insert a version of the main header as an iframe in all my themes? Or use a wrapper or something? Impossible?

Thanks again for all your help anyways!
