WordPress MU

I found an old(ish) post about this before 2.7 was released, but nothing since, and I'm wondering if others are having problems with their Manage Plugins page not updating correctly? Mine gives seriously weird behavior. Here's what I noticed so far, all of it seemingly randomly intermittent:

1. The upgrade badge shows up in the sidebar showing that say, 3 plugins need to be upgraded, however none of the plugins on the page show that they need upgrading.

2. I upgrade one of the plugins, and it still shows that it needs to be upgraded on the page, even though it is now showing the correct upgraded version number.

3. I upgrade one of the say, 2 plugins that need upgrading and then the other one suddenly doesn't show that it needs to be upgraded any longer, even though I haven't touched it.

All of these issues will then sometimes disappear or reappear hours later.

Any ideas?

We just had this discussion a few days ago and I can't find the thread. Gone to look some more.

@tdjcbe Thanks for the pointer, don't know why I didn't find that one.

So, it sounds like the problems I've described are due to some bugs in the wpmu plugin manager code, and others are experiencing the same issues.

Sounds like it to me as well although I pointed you to that thread in hopes that you would reconsider using the auto installing for the reasons stated in that thread. :)

Thanks. I have actually stopped using the auto install. The problems above however, are not dependent on the auto-install feature. They happen even if I'm just manually installing and updating plugins as in the past.

I have the same problem. Plugin upgrade badge shows I have 8 (and the number keeps growing over time) plugins to upgrade, but the Manage Plugins panel doesn't show any upgrade options.

Is there a fix yet? Suggestions? I've tried deactivating and re-activating all plugins to no avail.

I had the same problem with 2.8.1, 2.8.2 solved the problem for me.
