I use Statpress and i use to get between 150 to 250 feed hits a day, but in the last week i have been averaging over 20,000 Thousand Feeds a day, Why is this?
    And is this normal?

Take a look at your webserver's logs to see where the access is coming from. Maybe you got mentioned on TV or something.

Not as if you guys are going anywhere next season. We all know the Panthers are a much better team. :)

Did you try visiting their site to see?

    I'd block 'em.

tailsweep.com resolves to a site saying they are an ad network for bloggers, focused on Britain and Sweden.

Send them an email and ask why their bot is being so aggressive on your site. It might have developed a mind of it's own and just can't get enough of your content :)

They should be able to throttle it down a bit. If you don't get a reply then it's probably best to block it in your htaccess file until you do.

Hi guys. Is this still a problem ?

By looking at your log I feel that it is different pages that are requested am I wrong ? Probably someone links to your various posts and the bot follows those links to see if the endpoint as well is a blog. In this case it liked what it sees.

The bot can sometimes be aggressive when it discovers a blog which it finds interesting.

    Cheers
