Hi everyone,
I have got a dedicated Windows 2008 Server with IIS 7.
I have installed WordPress MU using subdomains on http://www.cindro.net
I have created the needed A dns record '*' to be able to create multiple blogs.
I then created a blog called 'test' which should run on test.cindro.net, well nothing is coming up at the moment? Just an emply plesk page weirdly enough is coming up? All the permissions are in place but I really don't know what is needed.
Does IIS7 also need special configuration? I have tried multiple things, I really don't know what to do now. Is it not possible to run WPMU on Win2008?
PLEASEEEE help me.
Below is the code for my .htaccess, i hear that it doesnt affect IIS7? But how do I then convert this to IIS 7 rules?
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
#uploaded files
RewriteRule ^(.*/)?files/$ index.php [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !.*wp-content/plugins.*
RewriteRule ^(.*/)?files/(.*) wp-content/blogs.php?file=$2 [L]
# add a trailing slash to /wp-admin
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^.*/wp-admin$
RewriteRule ^(.+)$ $1/ [R=301,L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d
RewriteRule . - [L]
RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(wp-.*) $2 [L]
RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(.*\.php)$ $2 [L]
RewriteRule . index.php [L]
<IfModule mod_security.c>
<Files async-upload.php>
SecFilterEngine Off
SecFilterScanPOST Off
</Files>
</IfModule>
I solved the problem, I just had to create empty subdomains pointing at the root directory. Thats it.

I have qitrade.cindro.net working fine, my question now is....how can i make http://www.qitrade.com display that subdomain site? no redirection.
There is a blog post by the link http://qitrade.cindro.net/2009/06/16/hello-world/ this should then look like http://www.qitrade.com/2009/06/16/hello-world/
What A record do I need to create? What do I need to do on IIS7? is any WPMU Plugin involved in this?
Please help me with this last bit, thank you.
