Noobie question before I install...
Is there a way with WordpressMU to have a separate sub-domain and photo gallery created for each registered i.e. johnjoe.domain.com? I would like the registered user to only be admin for that subdomain and control only those images there too?

I believe it does that as a default. Yes I am sure it does.
And they can only edit/upload pictures on that subdomain? I eventually wanted them to be able to sell their pictures and modify their own prices. How would I do that...an eCommerce plugin or is that a function of a picture plugin...Thanks for the quick response!

Yes.
The selling part would be from an e-commerce plugin.
Go look at the blogs at wordpress.com. you're essentially setting up the same kind of site.
