WordPress MU

Hi every time I try to upload a photo it doesn't appear in my post correctly, there is just a blank square. Plus when I look at the file address in the html it doesn't exist - src="http://test.littlecuriosityshop.co.uk/files/2009/06/btn-bg.jpg

My images are supposed to go into wp-content/uploads, can anyone tell me why this doesn't work. Is it an inherant problem with wordpress MU?

MU places the photos in a different directory, and then uses a rewrite rule to serve it.

Yes, it is different than WP, but it does work. Is your htacess file there? Does it match htaccess.dist?

A file permissions error has occurred. Please check the permissions on the script and the directory it is in and try again.

is the error returned when I try to access the url in a browser, so in all likelihood, that is the problem.

yes it is what should i do with the file permissions?

I've made sure the file permissions for wp-content are 777 and even blogs.dir but still no luck. Where am I going wrong?

PLEASE HELP nothing works and I don't want to install my whole blog all over again. I just get the file name which is 1 at the end of the sentence in this case.

AHA! :) I found it wp-contents file permissions should be changed back too 755 thank you so much you were right it was the file permissions! :)
