Activating plugins for specific blogs similar to theme functionality (2 posts)

I already have plugin commander installed, and I love it, but there's one feature I was hoping it would add that it didn't, and that's to be able to individually allow or disallow plugins on a blog to blog basis. The same way you can for themes, y'know?

Basically what I want to do is in addition to the regular blog's I'm hosting, I want to offer the option to have a shopping cart/ecommerce suite of plugins, but since this will increase server load for me, I would like to have it as an option only for specific people.

Is there any way of doing this?

Ditto, let me know if you come up with something to allow plugin access control based on user role or membership level (based on membership plugin).
