I downloaded the Ringbinder theme from this site:
    http://dbjb.buynowshop.com/2008/12/wordpress-mu-free-themes/

And then ftp 'ed the site on my server in the following folder:
    /public_html/drlokku/docblog/wp-content/themes

    My website is ... dr-lokku.com/docblog

I activated it by going to Admin->themes and activated the my newly installed theme.

And set all the other themes "Home" , "Default" to No....

Nopely No..NO change and cudn't see anything...I think it is severe bug in wordpressMU can't see the activated theme.

Also I have got a doubt about this statement at top
"Disable themes site-wide. You can enable themes on a blog by blog basis."

Can you explain this statement to me..it sounds little confusing !!??!!!

"Disable themes site-wide. You can enable themes on a blog by blog basis."

    pinastro,

Activate/Deactivate themes for the entire site at SiteAdmin-->Themes. This feature simply determines what themes each blog is "allowed" to be enabled...

... but you still must enabled a theme on each blog at Appearance-->Themes in the usual Wordpress way. A white screen on the front may mean that there is no theme enabled at Appearance-->Themes.

The themes listed as "Active" at SiteAdmin-->Themes, will be the same "allowed" themes available at Appearance-->Themes.

Finally, a special trick, if you visit the SiteAdmin-->Blogs-->Edit, you can add "Deactivated" themes to any blog's allowed themes list. Thereby allowing a theme to be available only to selected blogs.

does the theme's folder have a - in the title?

    Is the folder permission 755?

@andrea_r yes I am having the folder permissions in the right place

@dsader I got your second point ...the activation of themes is for the themes to appear on the Available themes ...(???) Apppearance --> themes

but couldn't get the special trick, infact i am facing a lot of issues related WordpressMU.

When I click on VIEW for the newly created blog it says page cannot be displayed.

I have two blogs ..so far
    1) One is Admin's blog created automatically
    2) Another is pinastro's blog which I created after the installation

    The FIRST one works fine
    but not the second one...

    The List of problems:
    ADMIN --> Blogs
When we mouse move over the list of blogs the following links appear below the blog :

    (a) Edit
    (b) Backend
    (c) Deactivate
    (d) Archive
    (e) Spam
    (f) Delete
    (g) Visit

Not all of them are working ...Plus..what is the meaning of few of these links being in RED color??

@andrea_r Is there any site where we can log tickets for the problems we face with wordpressMU....Forums involve a lot of searching and typing :(

"does the theme's folder have a - in the title?"

You forgot to answer this part. :)

themes work fine in MU. If it's not showing, there's a couple of different circumstances where MU won't "see" it.

Also, the second blog not working means you skipped some of the setup in the readme.

Also, one more thing it could be - the theme folder MUST be only one level down in the themes directory, or it will not show.

    Has to be /themes/themename/theme-files-here.php

    and not

    /themes/themefolder/themename/theme-files-here.php

Thanks all of you ...it works now.

The mistake I did was I didn't activate the theme in the "appearance".
    As mentioned by dsader

It's confusing that the text says "disable" while the button headings say "active/inactive." either "enable + enabled/disabled" or "activate + active/inactive," please! I prefer the first one, because active already has another meaning for themes.

The UI for this will hopefully be fixed in 3.0.
