WordPress MU

I'm using a sub domain installation of WPMU recently upgraded to 2.8.1

Today one user change the site URL of the main installation site as a result the root site is unaccessible. All other site under the is accessible. Same goes to wp-admin page.

I changed the URL in these entries at database to resolve the issue:
wp_blogs` VALUES (1, 1
wp_1_options` VALUES (1, 0, 'siteurl',...
wp_1_options` VALUES (40, 0, 'home'...
wp_1_options` VALUES (88, 0, 'dashboard_widget_options'

But no luck. Still I'm getting blank index page. When I turn off the NOBLOGREDIRECT, then I get a redirect error as new registration is turned off.

I did the same thing once awhile ago, what i did (if its not to late!)

I was able to hit the back button on my browser and it pulled up the options page with the old values. I then hit save. it brought back the blog after a bit. I think i got lucky though!
