Hello, i am sorry i was not sure which category should this one go! also i tried looking in the forum if this was already answered by unfortunately i was not able to find it!

here is what i was looking for:

when we goto wordpress.com, we register from link: http://en.wordpress.com/signup/

which probably shows that the registration system is not on the root of the site. but after registration we get direct subdomain for our account, myname.wordpress.com

    i want some thing similar.

i dont want to install the wordpress mu on my root of the site. i want to install it on
    blogs.mysite.com
and the users register from there. once they register, i want them to have the account at
    name.mysite.com

hope it made some sense! anxiously waiting to get on it! :)

I think you are mis-reading the URLs.

I would imagine that the wordpress.com code is at the root of their site and they are using a sub-domain to determine the language and a rewrite to map wp-signup.php to the signup page.
