Hi,
First time poster here - Ive been playing around with WP and have recently come across WPMU and the video solution framework. Im just wondering if anyone cn advise if this would be right for the site i'm looking at building. Ive previously been looking at some other cms options but I think the buddypress plugins look great and the video solution framework looks like it should do a lot of what I need.
Basically I want to create a video based community - something vimeo-esque - and have the following questions :
1. Can I make it mandatory for users to post a video when they submit a post ?
2. Can my main site page(s) access posts from across all the individual blogs ? I want to be able to show all posts with common tags etc...
3. When a user signs up is it possible to automatically create them their own blog without the option of just creating a username ? On a public site Im not sure why youd want to give people just a username and not a blog when they register - a little confused by this - perhaps Im missing something !
4. On original WP it was possible to use the roles plugin to contrain what users could do - does this plugin work for MU ?
5. Is it possible to reskin the admin backend so it doesnt look like WP anymore ? I would like a consistent theme throughout the site - for the main pages, users blogs and backends.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can get back to me on this ! The WPMU docs dont seem as thorough at they WP ones :/ I reliase that some of what I want to do will require coding so this is not a problem...
cheers,
marc
