I'm testing on shared hosting which does not allow wildcards. Is it possible to use mu without the wildcard?

if you go for this structure i.e. yourblog.com => yourblog.com/userblog_1 yourblog.com/userblog_2 instead of userblog_1.yourblog.com yes, then you don't need the wildcard stuff.

Thanks Ovidiu - sorry if this is a dumb question, where do I go to find information on how to change the structure in that way?

there was someone else asking the same question in the last 1-2 months.

I remember my answer: its not easily possible, way easier to start the isntallation again, then during isntallation, chose the isntalation type that suits you.

I think I rememebr the other answer too: its not impossible but hard.

Sorry I can't help you out here, try searching or wait for someone else to give you better advice.

If you haven't created any blogs yet, edit wp-config.php and change vhost=yes to no.

Only created a test one (which I couldn't validate because of the lack of the wildcard) so presume that's still doable...

    Thanks for the help...
