My company is evaluating using WordPress MU for our blogs. The question is, and I'm not really finding the exact answer anywhere, can MU be installed on an internal (inside our firewall) company web server, and publish blogs to multiple other servers, some internal and some external? We have 2 other internal servers within our network that will operate their own blog, and then an external server (this box is located at our web host's data center) where our public site/blogs live (and we have 5 public-facing blogs). Each blog will need to have its own unique look and feel.
Before taking the plunge and putting a lot of man hours to this, I need to know if my scenario is even possible.
