    Dear,

I am looking for installing Wordpress MU on the hosting provider sites5 ... is this possible.
(Included only 20 subdomains) is this a problem ... or does Vhost mean.

I asked them (sites5) if it was possible to host it with them (advanced), they said yes as every adjustment (vhost, *dns, ...) can be done in the .htaccess file ... or configured in own php.ini file or in the control panel.

Can somebody confirm that for hosting mu, an .htaccess/control panel adjustment is sufficient?

    Thanks for your help.
PS: maybe this sounds stupid, but when I download the nightly ... and open a php file, everything is on 3 lines ... very nasty to read and to adjust, anybody - I am on xpsp2-winzip?

I can confirm I'm running WPMU on a Site5 account. I do not have the bottom-line account, I have the next one up (the "true multi-site" one)

The subdomains are virtual and don't create folders, thus the limit doesn't apply.

I had to ask them to turn on vhosts for me, but once I figured out what I was doing, it wasn't much of a problem installing.
Feel free to email me as well if you have more questions.
