I just installed MU and after two hours of searching and pulling my hair out I'm unable to figure out how to start a new blog.
Everything looks pretty much like the regular WP admin.
I found a page telling me about all the great things I can do as admin and something about a yellow greeting to let me know I'm in site admin with no hint of how to get there.
I clicked on the dashboard and all over, searched and searched, but nobody else is having this problem. I'm at wpmu/wp-admin
Am I having my stupid day?

yup, I may have uploaded the regular WP.
It's fairly obvious if you're using WPMU - there'll be a whole site admin block of navigation at the top of the left side. If that's not there, and you're the installing user, then you're not using WPMU.

Did you see this yellow greeting in the backend when you were logged in?
If so - the Site Admin menu is on the LEFT with the other menus. It's right under the Dashboard menu. If you're just seeing the little icons and no words, that'll do it.
If you don't see either of those, then yeah - you got the wrong download.
