Which plugins and how are you activating them?

wp_PostRatings and wp_polls plugins. I activated them through the wpmu plugins page.

Is these plugins are not compatible with wpmu? How we can make this work if it is not compatible?

I'm interested too ! wp-polls can be activated if it's in "plugins" folder and is not recognize in "mu-plugins" folder (the widget doesn't appear).

You should only place plugins in mu-plugins if that plugins readme.txt explicitly says to place it there.

When you put the wp-polls plugin in the plugins folder and activated it, you were doing it correctly. You can activate the plugin sitewide if you need to have all blogs have it available.
