I currently have the default role set as "Subscriber" for all of my WPMU blogs. However, there is one specific blog where I would like user signups to be set to "Author" by default.
This probably violates some kind of security thing, but is there a way I can do that? Some plugin or file I can edit?

Oh my goodness that was ridiculous of me. I posted this and then I figured it out right away. If you go to Site Admin > Blogs > Thatblog > Edit, scroll down to "Default Role" under "Blog options", and change it to "author" it works.
I am silly.
